      How he moves between pictures

Start hands the iPad to him. To come back here from his screen, hold two fingers on it for two seconds.

How to use it with him
      • Together, on your lap. The app is a picture book; you are the teacher.
      • He swipes or taps; the app says the word in your voice. There are no wrong answers.
      • Say the word too, right after the app does. Afterwards, find the real thing: “Your ball! Same!”
      • Tap “Says it” once he uses a word away from the iPad. Short and daily beats long and rare.
      On the iPad
      • Open the app’s address in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It works offline after that.
      • Photos, recordings and the word list stay on the iPad only. Packs are on the public internet, so keep family photos out of them.
      • To lock the iPad to this app: Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access, then triple-click the top button while in the app.
